As the Arizona Cardinals move forward into the 2026 offseason there has been a lot of discussion about how bad the team will be in 2026.
Whether fair or not from the national media, the Cardinals have put themselves in this position to have questions about how they are building and what the future looks like.
Those questions are not going away any time soon, and instead more questions will arise as Jacoby Brissett continues to sit out of voluntary workouts ahead of the 2026 season.
I feel like this is an interesting dynamic, a quarterback who is widely considered among the worst starters in the NFL, someone who is 2-15 in his last 17 starts for two different teams, and is now missing most of the install for a brand new head coach, and a new offense.
The bigger issue becomes that Mike LaFleur is saying all the right things, but also has stated how much they are working on the presnap install, and the guy anointed the starter is missing it.
That can be overlooked I guess, but the fact that this is coming after the debacle of their schedule release, this team just cannot get out of their own way when it comes to being in the media.
Brissett has to have the lowest career passer rating of any QB to hold out ever https://t.co/G2hS0syI5i
