Arizona Cardinals quarterback Jacoby Brissett has been in a contract dispute with the Arizona Cardinals all offseason and did not take a single practice rep in the offseason program, as he held out of voluntary work and did not practice in mandatory minicamp.
However, he has gotten some work in on the field with some of his teammates.
According to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler, Brissett had some of his offensive teammates out in Florida working out.
With Brissett in the photo are receiver Marvin Harrison Jr., tight end Trey McBride, tight end Elijah Higgins, quarterback Kedon Slovis and receiver Simi Fehoko.
This isn't something new for the Cardinals, although it is a first for Brissett. Kyler Murray would regularly fly out his offensive teammates to work out, spending time with them on and off the field.
This work is important, as Brissett hasn't gotten any practice reps.
This shows a couple of things. One suggests he believes he is still the starter. It also shows that his teammates are behind him.
As the Cardinals get ready for training camp in a couple of weeks, getting some work in and connecting with teammates is a big thing to do.
