LAFAYETTE — The final chapter of the indoor track and field season was written in Indianapolis where athletes from big schools 4A - 6A and small schools 1A-3A competed at the Hoosier State Relays Finals in Indianapolis.
From this meet emerged sensational feats of speed, endurance, strength and elevation.

Male Athlete of the Week nominees
- Zion Clopton, Harrison, sophomore - Clopton finished fourth in the big schools finals in 8.04 seconds in the 60 meters hurdles.
- Ethan Landess, West Lafayette, sophomore - Landess finished eighth in the 60 meters in 7.11 seconds, Landess also was part of a 4x200 meters relay team that finished third in 1:31.30 and fourth in the 4x400 meters relay in 3:27.98.
- Jonathan King, Joseph Finnerty, River Bender, Evan Lottes, Harrison - Lottes, King, Finnerty, Bender and Lottes combined to run the distance medley relay in 10:33.18 and finished ninth place in the big schools finals.
- Grant Johnson, Luca Reynolds, Jinsoo Choi, Aiden Graves, West Lafayette - The quartet of Reynolds, Johnson, Choi and Graves finished ninth in the 4x800 relay in 8:22.93.
- Owen Hudspith, Frankfort, junior - Hudspith finished finished fifth with a height of 15 feet and six inches in pole vault.
- Nikolaos Papadogiannis, Harrison, junior - Papadogiannis finished eighth in the shot put with a throw of 52 feet and 1.75 inches.
- Andrew Dawalt, Max Smitley, Joshua Dinius, Hunter Lehe, Faith Christian - Dawalt, Smitley, Dinius and Lehe combined to finish sixth in the distance medley timed at 10:53.86.
Female Athlete of the Week nominees
- Charlotte Simpson, Sarah Flesher, Annie Dunford, Alivia Lewis, West Lafayette - Simpson, Flesher, Dunford and Lewis combined to run the 4x800 meters in 10:09.98 to finish in eighth place.
- Kimberly Caplinger, Lilli Roeske, Allison Caplinger and Ashley Caplinger, Faith Christian - The Caplinger sisters with Roeske combined to finish third in the distance medley timed at 12:19.49.
- Amy Schminke, West Lafayette, senior - Schminke finished ninth in pole vault with a height of 10 feet.
- Erin Cauble, Harrison, senior - The 190-pound state champion wrestler finished sixth in shot put using a throw of 40 feet and 1.25 inches.
- Audrey Alexander, West Lafayette, senior - Alexander had a top 10 finish and placed sixth in shot put with a distance of 39 feet and 9.5 inches.
