Seattle Seahawks running back Jadarian Price’s upcoming rookie year comes with much anticipation, and his status as the team’s starter from the season-opener onward appears to be strong.
According to Bleacher Report’s Kristopher Knox in his outlook for all 32 of the NFL’s first-round picks from this year, Price forecasts to be the starter for Seattle beginning in Week 1.
“It'll be a fairly significant surprise if Price isn't the Seattle Seahawks starter in Week 1, largely because Zach Charbonnet is recovering from a torn ACL that he suffered in mid-January,” Knox said. “The Seahawks have other backs, but players like George Holani and Emanuel Wilson shouldn't keep Price on the bench past the preseason.”
Price has been projected to be the starter for the Seahawks from jump street since being drafted in April. The Notre Dame product has 700-plus rushing yards written all over him for next season in Seattle’s run-heavy offense, and even with Charbonnet’s eventual return, will get the carries he needs to make that a reality as the likely 1B to Charbonnet’s 1A.
