The Los Angeles Lakers will look to close out their first-round series with the Houston Rockets with a win in Game 5 on Wednesday night.
If they're able to advance, they would face the Oklahoma City Thunder in the Western Conference semifinals. Just before tipoff, L.A. got a heap of good news as it seems star Austin Reaves will be returning from injury.
Austin Reaves to return for Game 5 vs. Rockets due to oblique strain
When it comes to Austin Reaves' status for Game 5, all things are a go. ESPN's Shams Charania reported roughly 45 minutes before the start of the game that Reaves would be making his return from injury to suit up for the Lakers as they attempt to eliminate the Rockets and advance in Game 5.

Reaves has missed the entire postseason so far due to the injury, which has kept him sidelined since April 2.
The Lakers will still be without star guard Luka Dončić, who has been ruled out of the game due to a left hamstring strain. Like Reaves, Dončić has yet to play in the postseason due to his injury, and it remains to be seen when he might be able to return.
On the Rockets side, Houston will continue to be without star forward Kevin Durant for Game 5.
Durant has been ruled out of the game due to an ankle sprain.
