I actually think Shelton was one of the best tackles the Cardinals have had during the Arizona era.

My irrational OT love was Brandon Keith. He showed some flashes and I thought he was going to be great.

I am a huge LJ Shelton stan.
Funny story about LJ Shelton... during the Super Bowl lead-up, my buddy who was an NFL lineman at the time invited me to a Vegas club (just a small table of us, not like an event) with some NFL buddies. I was so psyched about the Cards that I wore a Cardinals shirt under my blazer, and this huge dude looks at me with no introduction and goes "man, there's no way you're a real Cardinals fan."

I look him dead in the eyes and say "You're LJ Shelton and were drafted 21st overall out of Eastern Michigan," then pointed two people over and said "and that's Marcus Bell, drafted in the 4th round out of Memphis."

The reaction was hilarious, and great. He was amazed and we talked Cardinals football for a while and partied. We were supposed to hang out again, but that never came together.

My first thought similar - I remember how much Wolfley was hyping up Max Hall before his first start.. then he threw two pick sixes in the first half (IIRC).
He won his first start - against the then SB Champion Saints 30-20. He didn't do anything remarkable. Didn't even score a TD, but he didn't hurt us.

The two pick-sixes in the first half came against Tampa Bay in a game we ultimately only lost by 3 (38-35).

I'll admit that I was a Cap Capi fan. I still contend he should have made a roster.

Big Mo. My brain still does a double take when I see #78 on the practice field.
Garrett Williams is real good but seeing #21 out there always glitches me.

Even after all these years, seeing #56 or #58 on guys who aren't Karlos Dansby makes me SMDH. Los was such a legend the Cards should retire two numbers (just ask him).
