With 30½ points needed to claim the Arnold Palmer Cup, the International squad earned exactly that Sunday to claim the title in the biennial matches against the U.S. squad.

The Arnold Palmer Cup pits two 24-person teams made up of 12 top men and 12 top women college golfers against each other.

The rivals were tied 6-6 after the first 12 matches on Thursday, and the Internationals nudged ahead after Saturday's Day 2 action, winning the morning session 6½ to 5½. In the Saturday afternoon matches, things were neck-and-neck once again, with each side earning 6 points, making the score Internationals 18½, U.S. 17½ ahead of the Sunday singles.

On Sunday, each side won 12 of those singles battles, and that delivered the Internationals the exact number of points needed to win the Cup, as they take the title 30½ to 29½.

Vanessa Borovilos of Canada, who plays at Texas A&M, clinched the winning half point in her match against Mackenzie Lee.
