Inter Milan conceded a stoppage-time equalizer to take some of the shine off their victory parade at the San Siro in a 1-1 draw with relegated Verona.

The Serie A and Coppa Italia trophies were on display at the double-winners’ final home match of the season and the celebrations were unfolding as planned when Andrias Edmundsson deflected the ball into his own net shortly after half-time.

Inter clearly felt their work was done and took their foot off the gas, enabling Scotland forward Kieron Bowie to take advantage with a well-struck effort in the second added minute.

Cristian Chivu’s men had clinched the Serie A title with three matches to spare and on Wednesday lifted the Coppa Italia after dispatching Lazio 2-0.

They close their season at Bologna on Sunday when they will be looking to extend their winning run to 12 matches.

Verona’s point means they should avoid finishing bottom of Serie A with one match to play.
