maybe it's not the worst... think I remember Robinson posting something like this when he got injured again this season and we all feared the worst and it was only a three game absence. Hopefully, this means he's just done for the season.
But he's an Arizona Cardinal... and a promising one... so probably not.

I feel terrible for the kid, but I'll be honest, this might be the best thing for the organization moving forward. He would have come up for a contract extension and with the volume of serious injuries to knee/achilles and other injuries this season, it's very clear now that his body just ain't made for football. Can't be depended on moving forward and shouldn't be taking any kind of significant amount of our cap.

I think it’s possible this coaching and medical staff are just much more conservative than other teams. Part is a non-competitive mindset where you’re saving yourself for when you really want to compete. I don’t think that’s the case with these MCLs and Achilles tears, but why aren’t Max Melton, Trey Benson, and Paris Johnson playing, exactly?

The Benson one I'm convinced the original injury was worse than they realized.
I was looking when we found out he was out for the year and the only other guy I could find who missed that long with a meniscus was my favorite young QB, JJ McCarthy who tore his meniscus in the preseason and missed the whole year. They said the recovery was 4 to 6 months so they just put him on IR. Then during rehab about 10 weeks after the original surgery, he got swelling in the knee and wound up having a 2nd procedure that everyone assumes was PRP.
The report on Benson was during practice when he got back on the practice field his knee didn't feel right and he was flexing it and shaking it. I'm betting they had a similar situation that JJ did and just decided shut him down.

Cardinals cornerback Garrett Williams (Achilles) and rookie defensive lineman Walter Nolen III (knee) will be put on injured reserve, coach Jonathan Gannon said Monday, ending their seasons.
Nolan tweaked his knee on this TD, missed a game and then tears his ACL in the same knee. This training staff needs to be the first to be fired. He's been dealing with issues all year and should have just shut him down after that and have him focus on next season.

I'd agree if the season wasn’t over. We were already eliminated, no reason to play a player with a bright future for meaningless football when they were already dealing with a knee injury after coming back from a calf injury that caused them to miss half the season. Now he gets to miss another half of a season.
Once again, we can’t have nice things.
Yesterday was just rough to swallow. Two starters potentially lost for all of next year is the crap icing on this turd cake of a season. This franchise keeps falling down that dark deep rabbit hole and 2026 feels like a lost cause right now.
Move training camp back to flag. Stop ripping up the playing field for a month on a daily basis before games begin

Nolen is pretty much our only young defensive building block unless you count DTD or Johnson. Losing him for a significant part of next year would make an already boring defense even tougher to watch.
I don't know if he was injured or what, but Williams had a huge drop-off this year. Pro Football Reference has him giving up a passer rating of 129 and missing 15% of his tackles. Sucks to see him with another injury since he seems like an alright guy, but his recent performance is easily replaceable.
