Bayern Munich fans can breathe a sigh of relief after Vincent Kompany provided a positive update on Vincent Manuba following the club’s 15-0 preseason victory over FC Rottach-Egern.

The versatile youngster appeared to be in some discomfort during the match, leading to understandable concern that he may have suffered an injury. However, Kompany quickly eased those fears after the final whistle.

According to the Bayern Munich head coach (via @iMiaSanMia), Manuba is “fine” and was simply dealing with cramping caused by the combination of the summer heat and the physical demands of the match.

That is welcome news for both the player and the coaching staff as Bayern Munich continues its preseason preparations. These early friendlies are crucial opportunities for young players like Manuba to impress, and avoiding an injury setback allows him to continue building momentum.

With Bayern’s preparations now moving forward, Manuba should be available to continue competing for opportunities during the remainder of preseason.
