Ahead of Bayern Munich’s friendly match against Rottach-Egern, sporting director Christoph Freund said he liked the intensity that the team showed during their routine stay at the town.

“Various players have come back, so we’ve been able to train with a bigger group again for the first time,” Freund said (via Bayern’s official website). “The intensity has been very good. You can see everyone’s having fun. The weather and the conditions help with that. We’ve felt very well looked after and have been able to start working on some sporting aspects.

“The past few days at the training camp show FC Bayern’s connection to the region, to Bavaria and to the fans,” he added. “When you see what’s been going on here in the last few days, it was wonderful. We’ve had a full house every day and now the match, very close to the fans. It’s been a nice week.”

That intensity translated to a 15-0 win over local side Rottach-Egern, who is seemingly more than happy to ship double digit goals against the Bavarian machine.
