The WNBA season begins this week, and the league is bigger than ever — literally — with two new teams, the Toronto Tempo and the Portland Fire, and filled with top-tier talent. Two of the league’s biggest stars, Caitlin Clark and Paige Bueckers, are set to meet on the court this Saturday when the Indiana Fever and Dallas Wings kick off their seasons — that game marks Clark’s triumphant return to the game after sitting out most of last season with an assortment of injuries. The Wings and Fever already met during the preseason; the Wings nabbed a 95-80 win in that game, so we’re excited to see how things go when they meet for their first official matchup on Saturday at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
