It's hard to offer a complete picture of a 30-year-old league in one image, but the WNBA may have some egregious omissions on the poster it's selling for the occasion.
Indiana Fever fans will notice that Caitlin Clark — whose addition in 2024 helped energized the league, resulting in expanded viewership, increased player pay and expansion — didn't make the cut.
Though the Fever are represented by Sophie Cunningham.
A lot of people noticed Clark's omission.

As egregious as no Caitlin Clark on this poster (and it is unreal), no Diana Taurasi is even more incredible of a slight - 3x champ, 10x all WNBA first team, MVP … https://t.co/8pTKX0EgG8

I’ve never tweeted about a poster before. There are far more important things. That said, I heard from a few of you and gave it a look. So I’ll just pose a question: have we ever seen a sports league — a business enterprise — actively try to not make as much money as possible? https://t.co/mGPllRmXZH

Rookies would still be making 70k a year and most vets wouldn't even see 200k a year if it wasn't for Caitlin Clark. pic.twitter.com/1aL4nDOP2V

Yet you’re gonna leave the 1 player who’s already breaking historical records. The 1 who’s gotten this league all kinds of new attention and new money. The way yall keep trying to downplay one of your biggest stars in league history is just weird! pic.twitter.com/gQo0vEIUr8
