Indiana basketball is looking to get one step closer to winning gold on Saturday in the FISU America Games. The Hoosiers went 2-0 in group play with an average margin of victory of 68 points.

They will play Chile at 3 p.m. in the semifinals of bracket play with the winner joining the Virgin Islands in the finals. Indiana beat the Virgin Islands earlier in the week by 57 points, but it pulled of an upset in the other semifinal by beating an Argentina team that went 3-0 in the group stage.

Indiana basketball uses size advantage to bully Chile in FISU America Games​


1Q Indiana basketball 34, Chile 12: Indiana basketball overwhelmed Chile in the paint, and leaned into its size advantage with a lineup featuring Aiden Sherrell at the four and Sam Alexis at the five. Sherrell got to float more on the perimeter — he showed his range with a 3-pointer — but still managed to crash the boards to help clean up any missed shots.

1Q Indiana basketball 22, Chile 7: Indiana basketball guard Darren Harris scored nine points off the bench to help the Hoosiers build an early double-digit lead. He knocked down a pair of 3-pointers and had a fastbreak dunk.
