Bryan Adams - Heaven - Acoustic Live
I like that one.xc_hide_links_from_guests_guests_error_hide_media
Tears for Fears - Shout (live)
I like that one.
Usually I aint a fan of live performances. I hear the airplay versions of songs so much the tone and timing get stuck in my head...and when most bands perform their own music live they tend to sound like a cheap cover band.
Fleetwood Mac was particularly bad at this.
But this is a good performance, slightly subdued versus the radio version but the timing and tone are on point.
I like concerts...but most of it is due to atmosphere...
RUSH was really good at sounding the same on stage as they did on the radio...so was Starship/Jefferson Starship/Jefferson Airplane/Airplane
I was a huge Van Halen fan as a kid... but other than Eddie shredding on guitar I didnt like their shows...David Lee Roth goofed too much in the middle of songs, even intentionally changing and distorting lyrics...might have been a better show if I was as high as he was, lol...wasnt for lack of effort I assure you...just lack of rock star funding.
so yeah..music Live and in person is cool because the atmosphere makes up for discrepancies in the music... but I rarely enjoy live performances recorded.
which of course makes Frampton Comes Alive a problem...never saw him live, I always wondered if it would sound like the album, lol
