WEST LAFAYETTE — The march to a fourth state championship in five seasons feels inevitable for Tecumseh softball. Can Western Boone stop them?
We're about to find out as the No. 3-ranked Braves (28-4) and Stars (22-7) face off for the IHSAA Class 2A state title at Bittinger Stadium on the campus of Purdue University.
The game has a scheduled start time of 7 p.m. ET, but could be later, as they follow the Class 1A game between Barr-Reeve and South Central (Union Mills). An online stream of the game is available for purchase at ihsaatv.org.
Tecumseh won 1A state titles in 2022 and 2023, then finished runner-up in 2024. The success factor moved the Braves to 2A last year, where they dispatched Andrean in the final. Today will be Tecumseh's final game in 2A, as the continued success moves them up to 3A next year.
