If Weathersby falls to 3 should we take him?

That is if we havent traded our 3rd. He got shot but I would think he will recover by training camp. He was projected to go mid first round.

I don't know Endzone----He probably won't get by Dallas and their second round pick. He doesn't have a prison record, but the fact that he got shot and will probably be in prison someday would make him too attractive to the Cowboys.

Honestly I thought weathersby would go in the first round, with this shooting he might fall to the second, but he wont be there in the third. His gunshot wound wont cause an on the field issue other then he may miss the first rookie camp, by actual training camp he'll be fully healthy, heck I would use our 2nd if he falls to us. I do agree if Dallas doesnt take Newman in the 1st he wont fall past them.

Dennis Erickson coached him and obviously knows him well. If the Niners skipped Weathersby twice when they could use help at DB, Erickson may know something. Therefore, I'd pass at #70.

Niners have some serious needs on the DL and safety. They also want Smith #2, so passing on weathersby just may mean they have other needs, not that they think poorly of him.

Well unless I'm mistaken he was shot in a drive by less than 5 minutes from his house. In other words it's not like he was just in a bad neighborhood because he's a thug, he was in HIS neighborhood.

Not his fault he grew up where he did.I don't know if he's a bad kid or not but a lot of innocent people grow up in bad neighborhoods.
