Kurt Warner for this offense. Kurt played well while he was the starter in NY, and most were saying he probably would be come back player of the year. Since warner was benched the giants have avg 6.7 points a game, and lost 3 in a row.

I think He would be a great pick up for this team next year. It wouldn't hurt atleast.

He's atleast an option right now. Which the Cardinals need plenty of at this point.

He was sacked ALOT though. I don't know how much that was to do with him or the Giants line. Or both?

Also, how's his thumb?

He would need great pass protection to be effective. Something the Cards can't gurantee at the moment.

Kurt Warner would do well with our recievers. This would allow us to focus a bit more attention on our offensive line. A couple of tough guards would do the trick.

Warner would be crippled in less than a qurater behind our offensive line.

I think Kurt is done.

Nothing left in the tank, especially for a team like the Cards. Maybe behind a great offensive line with a great RB he may be able to hang in. BUT, he has become a turnover machine and we already have plenty of those.

62.8% 2054 yards 6 tds 4 ints 24 passes of 20 yards or more 6 of 40 or more

86.5 qb rating

not bad at all... considering the giants team/and offensive line

Maybe because Kurt Warner sucks? He had the NFL's best runningback early in the season in Tiki Barber, and still looked incredibly mediocre. Once teams started demanding that Warner beat them with his arm, he couldn't.

Warner is shell-shocked and his delivery seems to be moving through molasses. He also no longer has the arm that he did in the friendly confines of the Edward Jones Dome. No thanks.

Becuase Kurt Warner sucks, that's why not. Old beat up, retread QBs are not the answer.

While it's tempting to dream about Green resurrecting Warner to his old self with the Rams, I think Warner has made it clear (for now) that he intends to retire if not given a starting job. I would definitely replace King with Warner, but I wouldn't hand him the reins.

I was thinking about the same thing this week. Warner brings lots of experience and I think would stand up to Green. He is no long term solution but the guy can read defenses, have the respect of the other players and just might have a couple of seasons left in him. If McCown can beat him out in pre season then so be it. I still think we have to get some looks at Navarre one way or the other. The guy played half of the game with a bad hand. He showed pocket presence and just might be better than McCown. There are so many teams looking for QB's this year that it is going to be very difficult for the Cards to get one the better ones because of who we are and our history and also our half empty stadium. A history like ours is a double whammy that no other team has to contend with. In the last ten years we have seen team after team go from losers to winners but we remain very much the same. How many times have I read how much improved we are or how the new coach will turn us around in a couple of years. The only thing I will believe anymore is winning. All this other talk is just talk.

We may be lucky to get someone like him. It is not like we are going to get the pick of the litter. We will end up with who is willing to come to AZ and play for Green. That will not be a very big list to chose from.

It's pretty interesting since it was our defense that basically ended Warner's tenure at the Giants' helm. Either that or the Giants O-line did it, and frankly, our O-line would probably do the same at present.

If our line could protect him, and he had a good RB who could be an effective receiver out of the backfield, it might work out. To repeat, though, I wouldn't be so comfortable about signing him as the starter (unless Green is really sold on Navarre for the future).
