Watford looks better than Sowell.

DJ and Kerwin look better than Ellington at running the ball. Ellington is not a feature back, he is a change of pace and a receiving mismatch on LB's. Hopefully BA won't keep running him up the middle for no gain all season.

I'm more worried about the creeping suspicion that Andre Ellington might be a one-year-wonder.

He certainly hasn't looked like explosive 2013 Ellington...maybe he's better suited as a support/third down/gimmick back.

Its weird how a good second half actually mollifies me a bit, when all I thought about after our first 2 games was 'our starters did well, second half doesn't matter'.

The only impression I got was that our starters were trying to avoid injuries and seemed out of whack (and considering the crap field they were playing on I can't blame them). Sowell was hot garbage though

I agree with both Bullhead and Gold, that Earl Watford, who is reported to be playing on a bad ankle, should start at RT. Sowell is so bad , he's made to show up for work, every day. Allen Iverson said there is little reason for practice, and DJ Humphries agrees.

Also believe that AE should back up DJ at RB. Size does matter.

It's preseason. It's meaningless. The players know it, the coaches know it, and, other than rookies and guys fighting for a spot, nothing should be read into the games.

EXACTLY !!!!!!

I would be very worried about the 2015 season if BA had of installed some kind of game plan to try to win this preseason game . It's a veiled ( vanilla ) practice designed in a way as to not show the Saints a damn thing !!!!

Panic? The system works!

Last time I heard that we had lost 9 straight, and I wore a bag over my head to the last home game that year. Whisenpunt was sent packing shortly afterwards. I'm far from ready to panic at this point, but the O-line has to get its sheet together, and quickly, or it could be a long season.

I could care less if we win or lose a preseason game, if your O-line is so bad, you start hyperventilating every pass play your starting QB is involved in...
It's panic time!!!! :barf:

I do not want to see Stanton now that any DC with a brain, has had time to figure out that he throws to the first guy he looks at.

That 1st string offense definitely played like that was their midset. Ugh

Stanton looked better and didn't stare down receivers last night. Did pretty well against the 1st string D.

Carson looked horrible. Not just because he was sacked 9 times in the last 2 first halves. But he was holding the ball too long, looking lost trying to find his receivers. Not sure if Wr were running the proper routes or not, but something looked terribly out of sync.

Stanton looked awesome though. If we went by preseason performance alone, I would choose Stanton as our starter for game 1. I would let Palmer start and play a quarter this week though and see if he can get the kinks out. Same with OL. IF he still looks crummy, I would have no problem starting Stanton. We can't start the season losing the first game at home. That would be disastrous in my opinion.

Gather problem with Sowell is that he's so bad that he needs help every play, no matter who is lining up across from him. This means that Veldheer is on an island too often against guys like Mack.

If David Johnson looks good this year, I'm not shocked if the Cardinals move Ellington to WR next year.

Yeah, I guess. That would be "finding a use" for him. I think Palmer was the one saying that Ellington could be a WR in the NFL. I'm not sure I believe it — or at least believe that he could be an impact player at the position.

Feeling pretty good about adding David Johnson to my dynasty league team, though.

We were 1-3 last year in the pre-season

After 3 games last year, Palmer had completed exactly 50% of his passes and had 1 TD to 1 Int despite being perfect in his first game.

His numbers are almost identical this season.

Say it with me...the only thing that matters in preseason are injuries.

spoil sport....come on Chris,...there is only two weeks left to get worked up in a doom and gloom the world is ending this season panic frenzy..this is the highlight of the Cardinals off season,...and sweetens the season nicely when we start posting wins.

Let the dark side build some momentum

Boy, if all I had to go on, was what I read was written on here, I wouldn't give us a chance in ....to win more than three games this year.

Exactly. Also worth noting:

Take any team in the NFL. Now, take away their starting LG and RT. Let me know how that works out. Especially when the LG was one of their big FA aquisitions and a major part of their success plan.

I love how it's always the Owner, the GM and the coach are terrible, not just; man, these injuries/suspensions suck the right side of our line didn't look good at all. BASK should have had a pro-bowl caliber RT and RG on standby! Gosh they are terrible at footballing!

They struggled, forsure. But it's freaking preseason. I know people love to be negative but man, this is an awesome overreaction even by ASFN standards.
