Yeah, I’m doing this because I’ve been a damned fool – again.
On Tuesday Night’s Husker Heat podcast (That’s right – your only dedicated Huskers Softball podcast!), I said what the heck, we’re gonna give out Player of the Game awards in our recaps. I followed up and said, for example, I’m giving last Thursday’s Oklahoma State game honor to the Cowgirls’ Ruby Mehlan. Normally, it’s going to a Husker, but the former Omaha Skutt Skyhawk threw 10 solid innings, a worthy effort, so I thought.
Well, my co-host and daughter Mylie deemed that totally unsuitable and started busting my chops, very unfairly if you ask me. Seems like you can count on her to pick 100% Huskers.
Also, I forgot to do it last night in the doubleheader against South Dakota State. Unbelievable.
