The Washington Mystics (14-12) return from the All-Star break on Tuesday night in the WNBA playoff hunt as they host the Connecticut Sun (7-20).

Washington enters the second half in eighth place, holding the final playoff position with the third-best defensive rating in the WNBA at 102.3. No team scores more of its points in the paint than the Mystics, who get 52.0% of their offense in the painted area. Sonia Citron averages 17.2 points, with Shakira Austin getting 15.0 points and 9.5 rebounds per game.
The Sun split their final 10 games before the break after a 2-15 start but resume the season in 14th place, seven-and-a-half games behind the Mystics for the final playoff spot. Connecticut stands last in the league with a 99.4 offensive rating. Leïla Lacan comes in averaging 12.8 points and 4.4 assists while Aaliyah Edwards puts up 10.5 points and 9.3 rebounds per game.
