World Cup 2026 co-hosts Mexico can all but lock down first place in Group A with a win over South Korea on Thursday.

There’s very little to separate Mexico and South Korea at the head of Group A after the first round of fixtures at the FIFA World Cup 2026. Both teams won their opening matchups against South Africa and the Czech Republic, respectively, though only one of these teams can take the upper hand at the summit following Thursday’s clash in Zapopan.

El Tri will once again have home advantage on its side as it looks to all but seal the deal and lock down a first-place finish in the pool.
