Georgia has been one of the best teams in the country all season long, coming into the weekend with a 38-11 record and an 18-6 record in conference play. Georgia is coming off a dominant weekend series sweep over Missouri, one that saw the Bulldogs win games 2 and 3 by run rule. Georgia won game one 4-0, game two 13-3 in eight innings, and game three 14-4 in seven innings.
The Bulldogs will start Joey Volchko on Friday, who boasts a 7-2 record with a 3.75 ERA. Meanwhile, Georgia plans to start Dylan Vigue in game two, who comes into the weekend with a 4-1 record and a 2.35 ERA.
Georgia’s hottest batter has been junior catcher Daniel Jackson, who is batting .373 on the season with 23 home runs and 67 RBIs.
