Edwin Díaz served up a walk-off two-run home run in the bottom of the ninth as Los Angeles extended their season-long losing streak with a 4-3 loss on Friday night. The Dodgers trailed 2-0 before rallying to take the lead when Andy Pages homered in the eighth inning. Los Angeles scored single runs in the sixth and seventh, tying the game on Tommy Edman’s RBI single. Roki Sasaki turned in another solid start, allowing two runs on four hits in six innings and getting a no-decision. Díaz, who missed more than three months after having loose bodies removed from his elbow, has allowed 11 earned runs in nine innings this season.

Rookie Ryan Waldschmidt delivered the game-winner for the Diamondbacks, sending a slider just over the wall in left-center. Nolan Arenado put Arizona up 1-0 with a solo shot in the second before Gerardo Perdomo tripled in a run in the fifth. Merrill Kelly took a no-hitter into the sixth, leaving after 5.2 innings after allowing a run on two hits.

Right-hander Brandon Pfaadt (6-1) takes the hill for Arizona on Saturday night, coming in with a 3.66 ERA and 1.258 WHIP in 78.2 innings, appearing in 20 games and starting 10. Right-hander Yoshinobu Yamamoto (11-7) gets the call for the Dodgers, entering with a 2.76 ERA and 0.883 WHIP in 20 starts and 133.2 innings.
