Cards always seem to lose their first game. They did last year and see what happened at the end.

Can't lose at home in the opener. It would be a very bad loss, and would be tough to overcome. I'd be 'bummed' for about FOUR days, and it would take a LOT of Kool Aid to bring me around. To be on the safe side, I got to hit the grocery store, this weekend.

No teams comes out of the gate slower than San Diego, they are notorious slow starters every year. Let’s hope that trend continues.

Limited game reps, long term preparation and not being in the weekly routine makes the first game a poor indicator. <--- My rationalize for dismissing a loss.

It's only week one, but this is a big game. The Chargers made the playoffs. Beating them is positive reinforcement that the Cardinals are a contending team.

Game 1, not so much, but it will REALLY hurt to lose game 1 and then have to go to NYG for an early east coast game. We can't be 0-2 going to SF. That would be disastrous.
