How much can Boston Celtics expect from Chris Cenac Jr. this season and beyond?

While expectations for incoming rookie big man Chris Cenac Jr. are far below what the Boston Celtics expect to get out of new center Mitchell Robinson this coming 2026-27 NBA regular season, in the long run, the hope is that Boston picked up a much more dynamic big man at No. 27 in this summer's draft.

And while both Celtics centers hail from South Louisiana, their games are nearly as far apart as bigs can be, with Robinson a more traditional big man who protects the rim while rebounding at an absurd rate, and Cenac Jr. a modern big able to defend the perimeter some as well as the paint, protecting the rim some but also shooting shots from beyond the arc.
