Who are the top 10 current tight ends in the NFL?

As we approach NFL teams opening their annual training camps, ESPN surveyed league executives, coaches, and scouts to help them (ESPN) rank the top 10 players at 11 different positions. Today it was the tight ends.

Do the Washington Commanders have a tight end on the top-10 list? Will the Commanders face any of the top 10 tight ends in 2026?

  • 1. Brock Bowers, Las Vegas Raiders: Bowers caught four passes for 38 yards in the 2025 game vs Washington.
  • 2. Trey McBride, Arizona Cardinals: The Commanders will be challenged by McBride and the Cardinals on November 29 in Arizona.
  • 3. George Kittle, San Francisco 49ers: Kittle has shined vs Washington. In four games, Kittle has collected 16 receptions for 233 yards and two receiving touchdowns. These teams meet on October 19 in San Francisco.
  • 4. Sam LaPorta, Detroit Lions: LaPorta enjoyed playing against the Commanders defense in the 2025 game. Targeted five times, he made five receptions, averaging 10.6 yards per reception.
  • 5. Tyler Warren, Indianapolis Colts: Commanders will need to slow down Warren vs. the Colts in London in Week 4.
  • 6. Tucker Kraft, Green Bay Packers: Good grief, the Commanders defense in Week 2 last year made Kraft a candidate for the Hall of Fame. Kraft had 124 receiving yards on six receptions and one touchdown.
  • 7. Colston Loveland, Chicago Bears: The No. 10 overall selection in the 2025 NFL Draft is a rising star.
  • 8. Kyle Pitts, Sr., Atlanta Falcons: Pitts averaged 14.0 yards per catch in five receptions in the 2025 game vs the Commanders. These teams meet again in December.
  • 9. Mark Andrews, Baltimore Ravens: In only two games vs Washington, Andrews has 123 receiving yards and three receiving touchdowns.
  • 10. Travis Kelce, Kansas City Chiefs: Kelce has feasted in his three games vs Washington with 21 receptions for 309 receiving yards (14.7 average) and two receiving touchdowns.

The Commanders did not have a tight end receive honorable mention nor receive any votes. Washington's top three tight ends are Chig Okonkwo, Ben Sinnott and John Bates.
