CLEVELAND – This didn’t look like the Yankees’ night, with Gerrit Cole done after four innings and the Cleveland Guardians with constant traffic on the bases.

And then…

Jazz Chisholm Jr., big chip squarely on his shoulder, blasts a late, go-ahead homer – with one of Aaron Judge’s bats, of course.

Oh, and Chisholm definitely heard the “overrated’’ chants from a boisterous, shirtless part of the Progressive Field crowd on Tuesday night.

“I love it. Kind of feel like that was the loudest chant all night,’’ said Chisholm, whose exaggerated home run trot was just for them.

From that point, Fernando Cruz – who was Monday night’s lone unused reliever in the Yanks’ extra-inning win here – converts a difficult five-out save.

“An all-hands-on-deck, persevere kind of night,’’ Cole said after the Yankees’ 3-2 victory, a second straight takes-a-village effort.

On the Life Without Judge scoreboard, the Yankees are now 4-3 since their slugging captain went on the injured list (rib stress fracture), forcing them to find more collective ways to win over the next couple of months.

Spencer Jones, occupying Judge’s right field real estate, destroyed a Slade Cecconi offering for his first career homer – a two-run shot that sailed an estimated 443 feet to center.

And a five-reliever tandem provided Cole a welcome no-decision, on a night that went sideways during a lengthy third inning on a hot-humid night.

At a certain point, Cole said he was “just so gassed’’ and went into “survival mode’’ in his fourth start back from Tommy John surgery rehab, lasting 83 pitches overall.

Naturally, that third inning trouble began with a two-out single by Jose Ramirez, who wears out Cole.

It was extended on a hard-hit, RBI single by Chase DeLauter that Aaron Boone called “a tough play’’ for shortstop Anthony Volpe, a one-hop “rocket’’ that he attempted to play from the side.

Angel Martinez collected a game-tying RBI ground single as Cole broke late in covering first base after veteran Paul Goldschmidt made a tremendous diving stop.

Cole’s initial thought was that Martinez had roped a bases-loaded double, until Goldschmidt snared it.

“A half-step late’’ to the bag. “It’s got to be better,’’ said Cole, who was momentarily shaken up on his diving attempt to make a late cover play at second base.

But any concerns about jamming his pitching hand were short-lived.

At that point, Boone thought his starter needed a breather anyway, and Cole somehow made it though the third and fourth, and the parade of Yankee reliever began again.

They used seven relievers in Monday’s 7-5, 10-inning win here, and it remains the Yanks’ most vulnerable area, with help expected down the road – like Carlos Lagrange, and whatever happens by the MLB trade deadline.

“Just a complete effort tonight,’’ Cole said of the relay, which included five outs from Paul Blackburn and a one-pitch, one-third of an inning from Tim Hill, making a rare third straight day appearance.

“Quality pitches, picking each other up,’’ said Cole. “A total team effort.’’
