The NFL offseason has come to a crawl as fans count down the days until training camp. Fortunately for Tennessee Titans fans, rookies will report to camp in less than a month.

Until then, fans can debate the various positional and team rankings that will come up in the days and weeks ahead. That includes the state of the quarterback position and how Cam Ward stacks up against the rest of the league, which was recently broken down by Sharp Sports.

No. 24 - Tennessee Titans

As expected, Cam Ward made some big plays as a rookie, but his desire to attack downfield also created issues for the offense. Only 60% of Ward’s pass attempts at 15 or more yards downfield were catchable, the league’s fourth-worst rate. Either that drastically improves, or he needs to evolve into a more conservative quarterback.

Yes, Ward had some issues with the deep ball in 2025, but all of that was not his fault. By all accounts, the wide receiving corps had an up-and-down season, even before losing Calvin Ridley and releasing Tyler Lockett. Plus, this does not even account for the massive offensive struggles that existed before Brian Callahan was fired. Now, under Robert Saleh and Brian Daboll, Ward looks poised to take a step forward in 2026.
