With a deal announced for Houston Mallette, Alabama basketball has three players from its latest Sweet 16 roster headed for the pros.

The Crimson Tide fan-favorite, veteran guard was signed to an Exhibit 10 — a one-year, non-guaranteed training camp deal — with the Chicago Bulls.

Mallette spent two seasons in Tuscaloosa, although he redshirted the first due to nagging knee injuries.

In his sixth and final year of college hoops, Mallette returned to average 6.6 points and 4.5 rebounds per game, often heralded by Alabama coach Nate Oats for his blue collar effort and hustle.

Mallette’s signing follows that of Latrell Wrightsell Jr., who inked an Exhibit 10 with the Charlotte Hornets, and Labaron Philon, who was drafted No. 22 overall in the first round by the Philadelphia 76ers.
