LUBBOCK, Texas (KMID/KPEJ) – The No. 12 Texas Tech Red Raiders pull off the upset against No. 6 Houston 90-86 to move up to second place in the Big 12 standings.
Forward JT Toppin had an impressive showing with 31 points and 12 rebounds on the day in 40 minutes. Three more Red Raiders scored in double figures, including Donovan Atwell and Jaylen Petty, who dropped 18 points. Texas Tech improved to 16-4 on the season, and they hit the road to next Saturday to face UCF, with tipoff set for 11 a.m. on ESPN2.
