Let me say this, from one New York Knicks fan to another, from one native New Yorker to another, from one human to another: There's no need to throw anything at Victor Wembanyama as he's walking into his hotel after the San Antonio Spurs blew a 29-point lead in Game 4 on Wednesday.
Some people say he got "egged" -- that's eggs being thrown at you -- but whatever it is, there's no need for that behavior. Fans can boo, they can talk trash, but throwing stuff and being violent? There's no need for that. Plain and simple.
We can be better, New Yorkers. We've seen brawling, violence against Spurs fans and now this. Enough. That's crossing a line.
To repeat: No need for this no matter what happened on the court with the young Spurs superstar.
