CHEBOYGAN — One of Northern Michigan’s biggest fishing tournaments took place this past weekend, as the 2026 Cheboygan Salmon Tournament was held on Saturday. Aug. 1.

STURGEON EVENT LAST FEBRUARY: 2026 Black Lake sturgeon fishing season finishes in 48 minutes

In this year's event, 71 boats registered and 57 boats weighed in. In total, 1,781.69 pounds of fish weighed in.
