Postseason softball is can't-miss, especially in the Cheboygan area.
This spring, we’ll be treated to some very exciting matchups as the playoffs begin.
BASEBALL DISTRICT PAIRINGS: Here's the MHSAA district schedules for Cheboygan-area baseball teams
CHEBOYGAN SOFTBALL: Cheboygan softball sweeps Kalkaska, soccer settles for home draw
BEA SCHULZ: Cheboygan senior Bea Schulz producing, inspiring in softball return
For the Cheboygan Chiefs, they’ll have to get through a pre-district clash with Harbor Springs before taking on Boyne City in what could be an epic semifinal in Division 3. In Division 4, we get a Mackinaw City-Pellston rivalry clash right off the bat, while there’s also a solid chance Inland Lakes and Onaway could face off in a district final.
With the MHSAA releasing its postseason matchups, here’s the schedule for each Cheboygan-area softball team as they look to capture district glory at the end of May.
Pre-District, Tuesday, May 26
Cheboygan vs. Harbor Springs, 4:30 p.m.
Semifinals, Saturday, May 30
Cheboygan/Harbor Springs vs. Boyne City, 10 a.m.
Charlevoix vs. Elk Rapids, 12 p.m.
Final, Saturday, May 30
Semifinal winners, 2 p.m.
Semifinals, Friday, May 29
Pellston vs. Mackinaw City, 1 p.m.
Harbor Light vs. Burt Lake NMCA, 3 p.m.
Final, Friday, May 29
Semifinal winners, 5 p.m.
Pre-District, Tuesday, May 26
Gaylord St. Mary vs. Wolverine, 5 p.m.
Semifinals, Friday, May 29
Gaylord St. Mary/Wolverine vs. Inland Lakes, 12 p.m.
Boyne Falls vs. Onaway, 2 p.m.
