The MLB draft is taking place Sunday at Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Former Tennessee baseball third baseman Henry Ford was selected by Seattle in the sixth round (No. 191 overall).
In his only season with Tennessee in 2026, Ford appeared in 58 games (58 starts). He recorded a .293 batting average, 71 hits, 20 home runs, 15 doubles, 57 RBIs, 51 runs, 27 walks and three stolen bases. Ford had a .942 fielding percentage and committed seven errors.
He transferred to the Vols from Virginia ahead of the 2026 season.
Ford played in 111 games at Virginia from 2024-25. He was one of four Cavaliers to start all 50 games, 34 in right field and 16 at first base, during the 2025 season. In 2024 as a freshman, he appeared in 61 games, including 61 starts, primarily at first base.
Ford recorded a .348 batting average, 28 home runs, 115 RBIs, 102 runs, 160 hits, 22 doubles, two triples, 50 walks, seven stolen bases and was hit by six pitches from 2024-25.
