Jun. 10— Hayfield's Carly Bronson finished her Viking career on a high note as she took third place in the Class A girls state golf meet at Pebble Creek Golf Course in Becker Wednesday.
Bronson put up a score of 76 on the second day of the meet, giving her a two-day total of 157, just one stroke behind Hope Reid of Community Christian and one stroke ahead of Lanesboro's Addison McCabe.
Aly Bormes of Heritage Christian Academy took first place with a score of 152.
Bronson, a six-time state qualifier, has committed to golf at Division II Southwest State University in Marshall.
Blooming Prairie senior Aubrey Alwes took 40th at state with a two-day score of 187
In the boys meet, Blooming Prairie senior Brady Johnson took 43rd with a two-day score of 162, and BP senior Drew Reinke took 69th with a two-day score of 174.
