The 2026 Schuylkill League wrestling champions are set to take place on Saturday in Pottsville at historic Martz Hall. Below, the Republican Herald makes our predictions for Saturday’s league championships for all 13 weight classes.

107 – Owen Wolfgang (Tri-Valley)

Wolfgang has been dominant for most of the season with a 20-5 record entering the Schuylkill League championships. Of the 20 wins, 14 of them he had to earn the hard way, pinning all 14 opponents in the process. After a stretch of six matches in which he went 3-3, Wolfgang has won each of his last five, including three via pin, all coming in 62 seconds or less. Last year, Wolfgang defeated Williams Valley’s Magnus Monger with a pin in 2:38 to win the 107 Schuylkill League title.

114 – Rylan Reitz (Tamaqua)

Reitz enters the weekend 23-4 record, an incredible start to his career as a freshman. The Blue Raider 114-pounder has won each of his six matches, including a win on Wednesday against Blue Mountain’s Caden Fenstermacher 11-3. Earlier this season, he also earned a win over North Schuylkill’s Stanley Padakowski at 121 pounds.

121 – Stanley Padakowski (North Schuylkill)

The 121-pound weight class is wide open with Magnus Monger (Williams Valley), Stanley Padakowski (North Schuylkill), Chase Nagle (Pine Grove), and Garett Leitzel (Tri-Valley) as the top four seeds. Ultimately, the pick is North Schuylkill’s Stanley Padakowski, entering the championships with a 14-7 record with nine pins. Padakowski has won each of his last four matches via pin or tech fall and is 6-1 in his last seven. He was last year’s runner-up at 127 pounds, falling to Tamaqua’s Aiden Schlier in the finals.

127 – Arturo Reyes (Mahanoy Area)

A freshman for Mahanoy Area, Reyes has made himself a name very quickly this year with a 20-4 record. He’s just 2-3 in his last five matches, but those matches have come against some of the top wrestlers in their respective districts and regions, meaning Reyes is well tested for Saturday’s championships. In the Schuylkill League, Reyes has only faced two opponents: William Valley’s Magnus Monger in a 133-pound match, winning 16-0, and also defeated Tri-Valley’s Dalton Leitzel, with a pin in 38 seconds.

133 – Jaxson Bruso (Tri-Valley)

Tri-Valley’s Jaxso Bruso is the pick at 133 pounds. Bruso is 21-6 this season with 11 pin victories. Bruso has been wrestling at his best over the last few weeks, which includes three pin victories and a 23-7 tech win as well. Bruso finished third last season at the Schuylkill League titles in the 133 weight class, defeating Pine Grove’s James Hoy to do so.

139 – Brock Holmes (North Schuylkill)

A second projected freshman champion. Holmes is 21-7 this season with 13 pins. Holmes has won each of his last five matches with three pins, one major decision, and one tech fall. Throughout the season, he’sfaced strong talent from throughout the state against top section and district finishers from last season. Holmes may be young, but he should be well prepared to make a deep run on Saturday.

145 – Aaron Osatchuk (Pine Grove)

One of the league’s best junior wrestlers, Osatchuk has posted a 21-3 record through 24 matches and can beat his opponents in a variety of ways. All 21 wins have been earned, as he has yet to pick up a victory via forfeit. Nine have come via pins, five through decisions, four through major decisions, and three via tech falls. Outside a loss to Jamarcus Metz of Central Dauphin East last week, Osatchuk has been red hot lately, winning 12 of 13 matchups, including each of his last four. His lone Schuylkill League loss this season was wrestling up at 152 pounds to Rory Dixon.

152 – Rory Dixon (Mahanoy Area)

With a 24-2 record through 26 matches this season, Dixon is the favorite at 152 pounds with good reason. Notably, Dixon isn’t a wrestler who necessarily dominates with the pin but instead attacks his opponents methodically with 13 tech falls this season compared to four pins. Notably, in each of his five matchups against Schuylkill League opponents, Dixon has won all five via tech fall, outscoring his opponents 82-6 in the process. If you’re a fan of watching a wrestler grind down their opponent with aggression and supreme fundamental work, Dixon will be your favorite wrestler.

160 – Owen Woll (Blue Mountain)

After going 42-9 last season as a junior, which included a Schuylkill League title at 152 pounds, the Blue Mountain senior is off to a 23-3 start this season with 18 pins. Wall won each of his last four matchups impressively with three pins of 29 seconds, 71 seconds, and 10 seconds. Bryce Kile of North Schuylkill will be his biggest threat. Kile this season is 18-8. When Blue Mountain and North Schuylkill met earlier this season, Woll faced off against Jayden Billus at 160 pounds instead of Kile.

172 – Colin Crisswell (Williams Valley)

The 172-pound bracket will be an intriguing one with the top three seeds of Hunter Updegrave (Tri-Valley), Colin Crisswell (Williams Valley), and Isaiah Miller (Pine Grove) all having strong arguments to be the favorite. Ultimately, Crisswell is the predicted champion. The Williams Valley senior has earned 18 pins this year and has been dominant within the Schuylkill League, which includes a 6-2 win over Hunter Updegrave on Wednesday. He also pinned Isaiah Miller earlier this season.

189 – Terrell McFarland (Pottsville)

It’s hard to pick anyone other than Terrell McFarland at 189 pounds. The Pottsville senior is putting together a tremendous senior season with a 27-0 record, which includes 21 pins. He also has won Schuylkill League titles in each of his first three seasons. McFarland has won six straight matches via pin, including wrestling up weight classes against Halifax’s Teegan Carroll (215) and Tamauqa William Behun (2:08).

215 – Kyler Quick (Mahanoy Area)

Quick is right up there with McFarland as the most dominant wrestler in the Schuylkill League this season. The Mahanoy Area senior is 24-1 this season with 18 wins coming via pin, three via tech fall, two via major decision, and one via decision. His lone loss this season came to Logan Latimore of North East. Otherwise, Quick has been as dominant as they come.

285 – Scout Frantz (Pine Grove)

The Pine Grove heavyweight is one of the more physically imposing wrestlers in the league and has won each of his last even matches, with six of those wins coming via pins. Frantz is simply wrestling his best at the right time, like many of his Pine Grove teammates. He’ll enter the Schuylkill League championships with a 21-5 record. Williams Valley’s Camron Green is a strong candidate to win at 285 with a 20-6 record this season.
