CHILLICOTHE — Zane Trace senior Gunnar McCullough took home top baseball honors when he was selected as the Scioto Valley Conference Player of the Year. Zane Trace’s Ron Allen was named SVC Coach of the Year.
McCullough had an outstanding year at the plate and on the mound as he helped lead the Pioneers to the SVC championship with a 13-1 league record.
McCullough has a .412 batting average and leads the team with 33 hits and 36 RBIs. On the mound, he has a 2.13 ERA in 10 starting appearances.

Joining McCullough on the First Team: Colton Garrison (Jr), Adena; Troy McDonald, Jr. (So), Huntington; Gage Cheadle (Sr) and Carson McWhorter (Sr), Southeastern; Blake Sanders (Jr) and Jaxon Zickafoose (Sr), Unioto; Cash Conrad (Sr), Westfall; and Pierce Manson (Jr), Zane Trace.
Second Team: Frankie Hirsch (Jr) and Andrew Oyer (Sr), Huntington; Preston Fauber (Sr) and Jase Rinehart (Sr), Paint Valley; Treven Shanks (Sr), Piketon; Jack Welch (Jr), Unioto; and Rick Hanley (Sr) and AJ Pluta (Jr), Westfall; and Lukas Oiler (Sr), Zane Trace.
