Gulf Coast Runners has been promoting health and competition throughout Southwest Florida for the last 52 years.
For the last 30 years, they have also helped Collier County high school athletes in their pursuit of higher education. The organization recently awarded $85,500.00 to 28 graduating high school seniors in Collier County, bringing its scholarship total over $1 million distributed to area cross country or track competitors.
Recipients were selected through a comprehensive application process that evaluated academic achievement, community involvement, leadership, dedication to running, and future goals.
These scholarships recognize far more than athletic accomplishment. They honor students who have demonstrated perseverance, character, service, and a commitment to making a positive impact both on and off the course.
