CLEVELAND — With the MLB trade deadline looming and the Guardians already active in the market, Cleveland looks to bounce back against the Arizona Diamondbacks on Saturday, Aug. 1, at Progressive Field.
The Guardians (56-55) lost their interleague series opener 4-1 against the Diamondbacks (58-52) on Friday, July 31, despite Cleveland starting pitcher Tanner Bibee allowing just three hits and two runs in 7⅓ innings of work. The Guardians finished with three hits, and their struggling offense has produced three or fewer hits in 13 games this season — the most in MLB.
