Growden walks off Flintstone; Lefty's, Rotary win in Mtn. League

POTOMAC PARK — Issac Growden drew a walk-off walk to send Growden to a 6-5 victory over Flintstone in a Mountain League Baseball Senior Division game on Monday.

Christian Riley tripled and doubled for Growden with an RBI, Channing Logsdon was 2 for 3 with a double, two ribbies and three runs scored, Levi Bowles had two hits, and Landon Davis added an RBI.

Riley was the winning pitcher, allowing a run on three hits in 2 2/3 innings of relief, striking out three and walking four.

Cam Hook received a no-decision after giving up four runs on three hits in 4 1/3 frames to start. He struck out seven and walked six.

Flintstone's Braxton Kisamore ended 2 for 4 with a double and three RBIs, Trevin Reaugh had two hits, Carson Wilhelm drove in a run, and Silas Leith walked four times.

Braxtyn Hohn was dealt the loss in relief of Reaugh, who pitched six innings to start, striking out 12.

Growden (8-2) visits Mountain Laurel Medical Center at Southern High on Thursday at 6 p.m.

Flintstone (7-3) hosts a doubleheader with Northern on Wednesday at 5:30 p.m.

Lefty's 3, Personal Best 2

POTOMAC PARK — Lefty's started strong and rode five shutout innings from Clay Bailey to an upset of Personal Best in a Senior Division game on Monday at Hamilton Field.

Lefty's built a 3-0 lead by plating two runs in the first and one in the third.

Bailey pitched five innings of shutout two-hit ball, striking out five and walking two to get the win. Landon Raley got the save, giving up two runs (one earned) on a hit in two frames out of the bullpen.

Max Fradiska and Caden Knippenberg both doubled and singled for Lefty's. Knippenberg and Bailey recorded RBIs.

Personal Best's Daulton Harper doubled and drove in a run. Chase Deremer took the loss despite four solid innings in which he allowed three runs on three hits.

Lefty's (4-6) takes on Personal Best (10-2-1) in a rematch at Memorial Field on Wednesday at 7 p.m.

Junior Division

Rotary 9, Outdoor Power 3

POTOMAC PARK — Cumberland Rotary was out-hit but was opportunistic in a victory over Outdoor Power in Junior Division action Monday at Holler Field.

Outdoor Power ended with a 6-4 edge in hits but made seven errors and walked 11.

Rotary's Wade Cunningham tripled, singled and scored twice, and Issac Broadwater and Demarcus Isner had RBIs.

Liam Barnes was the winning arm, giving up three runs (two earned) on five hits with nine strikeouts to four walks in 5 1/3 frames of work.

Outdoor Power's Caden Hall doubled twice and drove in two. He also was tabbed with the loss on the bump.

Cumberland Rotary (7-8) faces Outdoor Power at Hamilton Field on Monday at 6 p.m.

Outdoor Power (3-7) visits Westmar Builders on Friday at 6 p.m.
