D, and hope your role players hit their 3s. We have neither, except for finally some good D at end of half, and KD getting his 3 strokes.

Just as what I said earlier. We started with bad D, giving their hot hands Aldama etc. open looks due to bad rotation, dug too much a hole. When we closed in in the 4th with only 3 pts behind, we couldn't nail enough 3s with open looks. At least we didn't let JJJ abuse us again like last time. Bol can be a good rotation player if he improves his court particularly def. awareness

Nash understands defensive concepts, and was decent as it pertained to team defense. He was just a bad individual defender with his lack of speed and size. I don't think he wants to coach though.

when we run him as power forward allowing him to float and help on defense he has good instinct on what the ball handler is trying to do

A lot closer than I was expecting, and overall there's a lot of positive takeaways. But, all of it was undone by poor defensive rebounding and inability to make timely 3s. When going small, you kind of expect a few offensive rebounds given up from the size mismatches but the hope is that the speed helps disrupt some of the of opposing team offensive sets and that you get 3s and transition buckets as a result. Unfortunately team just couldn't hit those 3s.

Agree. TyTy has the athletism and appears a better PG than Monte Morris. With a steadier 3pt shot, he could be well useful. Most of our 3pt shots were open, our role players need to make them

It's a start, but not the player I was looking for.

However, if Bol Bol could bring forth a strong defensive effort and rebound every game, he would be a tremendous help.

KD staying healthy and putting up big numbers is the most important thing for the franchise for the rest of the season. Maybe we can get 2-3 first rd picks this summer.

Did everyone forget KD demanded Nash be fired as coach of the Nets? I doubt Nash wants to deal with KD again.

I didn't follow that Nets team at all, even when Nash was HC. I just know the big 3 were marred by injuries during his tenure.

Imagine if there was a PF with real talent. Bol² is better than nothing but I wish this happened a month back to highlight how bad this team needs a PF.
