Top 5 how? Yards, or scoring?

Yards are overrated give me scoring everytime.

FYI the Cards ranking in scoring offense under Tobin/McGinnis:

22,25,15*,30,29,20,29,32nd.

Was even worse on the other side:

26,25,24,27,30,22,29,32 - The good old break but don't bend defense.

*1998 of course

source is profootball-reference.com

Oh yea I fully realize how bad the offense has been in the past I fully expect that to change under DG. I just wondered what he meant by top 5.

Green stating that the Cards will be in the top 5 in offense is really stretching it. One thing I can say for coach Green, he's got big balls.

The Cards need to put butts in the stadium, Green making season predictions such as playoffs and top 5 offense will generate a buzz. Simular to the Emmitt signing a year ago. I'm all for it! Green knows his football, just hope he doesn't disappoint us with high expectations.

Starks actually did the one on one coverage drills against the WR's. He moved around with no problems or hesitation and batted a few balls away. They did hold him out of team drills such as 11 on 11 for precautionary reasons.

The key is that he is backpedaling and cutting with no problems.
That's good news!

I have thought before that Dennis Green sometimes looks a little high. Now I have proof.

I think a top 10 offense would be a huge achievement with the lack of experience at the skill positions on this team.

I hope you are wrong. Starks is a very important key to any sucess we have this year. If he wants to play in 05 he better be better in 04.

This post just got me wondering... is this the last year of Starks contract?

No, this will be year 3 on his five year deal.

Question: Who is #30 and why does it look like he can't get around a guy not even trying to block him?

They're practicing without pads, which probably means no contact. That's probably also the reason why Roundtree doesn't block and Joyce doesn't put in a full effort. Just a guess. Jim can probably clear this up.

Set your goal highs and when you fail you still will achieve.
