The Greatest Show on Turf will be back in St. Louis on Friday night. Sort of.

The St. Louis Battlehawks of the UFL are welcoming several members of the Rams’ Super Bowl team to The Dome at America’s Center, which was formerly known as the Edward Jones Dome during the Rams’ championship run.

Dick Vermeil, Marshall Faulk, Mike Martz, Mike Jones and others will all be recognized at Friday’s game, as they return to the building they used to call home as members of the Rams. Ricky Proehl and Jeff Zgonina will also be recognized, as they’re members of the Battlehawks’ coaching staff.

“We’re close. We have a group chat. We're a family,” Proehl said, via STLPR.org. “There's so much love for each other, and respect, and to have them come support us, it just shows you what kind of football team and the culture we had back in ‘99.”

The Battlehawks come into this game against the Columbus Aviators with a 4-2 record as they look to make it three straight playoff appearances this season.

They hope the Greatest Show on Turf members will inspire a high-powered offensive performance on Friday night, while also hopefully bringing in some local fans who cheered on the Rams some 25-plus years ago when they were running up the score and putting up points in bunches.

Led by Kurt Warner, Isaac Bruce, Torry Holt and Faulk, the Rams won the Super Bowl in 1999 and lost in 2001, leading the NFL in points scored and total yards three years in a row.
