The Liberty Country Club played host to the 2025 Union County Invitational with eight teams competing. Batesville took top honors with a team total 314.
East Central’s Rowan Pies was the medalist with a 4-under par 66.
Batesville’s Ava South was just a shot back with a 3-under par 67.
Zoey Ahern carded an 80 for the Lady Bulldogs. Alexis Gallagher finished with 83 followed by Stella Maple 84 and Grace Saner 94.
Following Batesville in the team results were Richmond 348, Union County 383, East Central 392, Franklin County 396, Connersville 409, Northeastern 419 and Rushville incomplete.
Batesville opened the season against a strong field at the Bloomington South Invitational contested at Stone Crest Golf Course. Franklin won the team title with 301. Floyd Central finished with 305 and Batesville was third with 309.
Center Grove took fourth with 311 followed by Castle 337, Noblesville 337, Southport 347, Evansville Memorial 349, Bedford North Lawrence 357, Madison 361, Evansville North 366, Seymour 375, Columbus East 429 and Bloomington South 451.
Ahern led the Lady Bulldogs with a 71 (even par), only one stroke shy of the invitational medalist. Ahern earned third place individually, breaking the three-way tie at 71 thanks to an eagle on the par 5 15th hole.
South finished with 73 followed by Maple 76, Galagher 89 and Adelyne Koehne 97.
