The Golden State Warriors selected Yaxel Lendeborg with the No. 11 overall pick in the 2026 NBA Draft, bringing him to the Bay Area permanently after previous pre-draft workouts with the team.
Following the selection, Lendeborg spoke about playing with former two-time MVP Stephen Curry, admitting to harboring some resentment for the Davidson product. "It's a full-circle moment for me. In 2016, I'm a big Kyrie guy, so I used to hate Steph Curry," Lendeborg said with a smile.
Additionally, Lendeborg expressed gratitude for the opportunity and is looking forward to watching and learning from Curry as the 2026-27 season approaches.
