‘Warriors have cooked’ – NBA fans wowed after watching Yaxel Lendeborg workout

Despite not having played a game yet for the Golden State Warriors, there’s already a lot of hype around Yaxel Lendeborg.

Selected 11th overall by the Golden State Warriors in the 2026 NBA Draft out of Michigan, Yaxel Lendeborg hit the ground running with an explosive Summer League campaign.

The NCAA national champion and consensus All-American proved his two-way versatility immediately at the pro level, filling the stat sheet with gritty defense, sharp court vision, and rebounding.

He capped off his stellar run by leading Golden State to the Summer League title, dropping a clutch 21-point, 10-rebound double-double in the championship game and proving he belongs right away.

However, the real test will come in the NBA.

Yaxel Lendeborg excites NBA fans with workout footage​

In footage posted by SLAM, Yaxel Lendeborg can be seen hooping in a gym session, driving to the basket, dunking and even stepping back for threes from deep.


And it’s safe to say that his has gotten NBA and Warriors fans rather excited.

A 76ers fan even acknowledged the draft pick: “Lendeborg already looking like a problem out there. Warriors have cooked with this pick, rookie year gonna be nasty.”

“He’s the next Steph Curry and Draymonds replacement. Book it, no Devin,” one even went as far to say that he will carry on Curry and Draymond’s legacy.

Another said: “Yaxel Lendeborg going crazy in open runs. Rookie year is about to be special.”

“Gon be the best Dominican to ever play lol,” this fan is predicting big things.

And he’s even been predicted to win ROTY: “Rookie of the year.”

Let’s not get ahead of ourselves until we’ve seen him at the NBA level, as many rookies over the years have failed to live up to the hype after being drafted.
