The New York Giants' offensive line will look to take a major step forward this season after bringing back Jermaine Eluemunor and selecting Francis Mauigoa with the 10th overall pick in the 2026 NFL draft.

The combination of Eluemunor and left tackle Andrew Thomas is considered one of the better offensive tackle tandems in the NFL.

However, earlier this week, Sports Illustrated released its rankings of the top five tackle duos in the league ahead of the 2026 season and, surprisingly, left the Giants' duo off the list.

The tackle tandems that made the cut were those of the Buffalo Bills, Philadelphia Eagles, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Denver Broncos, and San Francisco 49ers.

The Giants' offensive line has shown steady improvement over the last several seasons and is looking to take another step forward in protection for both the running game and emerging star quarterback Jaxson Dart.

While the tackle duo is a clear strength for Big Blue, the interior of the offensive line still leaves plenty to be desired.

That said, if the unit as a whole takes a significant leap this season, the Thomas-Eluemunor tandem could climb these rankings by next year.

Eluemunor, who signed with the Giants two years ago, has been one of the best acquisitions in recent memory thanks to his talent and team-first mentality. He re-signed with the team this offseason on a team-friendly deal.

Thomas, of course, has battled injuries throughout much of his career, which may have played a role in the Giants being omitted from the list. When healthy, however, the Giants’ offensive tackle duo ranks among the best in the league.
