Giants celebrity quarterback Jaxson Dart made a risky and curious decision to introduce Donald Trump at a New York rally on Friday.

And Dart’s teammate Abdul Carter took issue with his QB’s public support of the nefarious president.

“Thought this **** was AI, what we doing man,” posted on ‘X’ Saturday morning.

Head coach John Harbaugh, who has spoken glowingly of Trump in the past, has said he wants his team’s full focus to be on football. But Dart, who has found a way in front of plenty of cameras this offseason, has thrust his locker room into a dicey place with Friday’s appearance, potentially splitting it along political lines.

“Wussup, wussup, wussup,” Dart said to the crowd at Trump’s rally. “Yeah. Look, Big Blue nation, it’s a pleasure to be here. I gotta start this off with a Go Big Blue. I would love it if ya’ll would follow with me.”

Dart then led an awkward chant of “Go Big Blue” four times.

“What an honor, what a privilege it is to be here,” Dart continued “And without further ado, I’m grateful, I’m honored, I’m pleasured to introduce the 45th and 47th President of the United States of America, President Donald J. Trump.”

Trump and Dart shook hands and embraced the podium when the president walked on stage.

Trump later delivered an uncomfortable line about Dart’s physical build when discussing women and men playing sports together.

“I’m looking at Jaxson, I’d like to know is there any woman in the audience that thinks they can tackle that guy?” Trump said. “Because I’d like to meet you. I’d like to shake your hand.

“I don’t know. Jaxson, do you think you could play against women OK?” Trump asked Dart. “Do you think you’d have any problem? I don’t think so.”

It wasn’t clear how Dart responded off camera.

“Don’t get involved Jaxson. Don’t answer that question,” Trump said. “No, I’m looking at the legs. He’s this beautiful guy. He’s got legs like tree trunks. This is not a good thing for women. This would not be good. No, it’s no good.”

No, it’s not good that Dart has publicly planted his flag like this. It’s not good that one of his teammates is calling him out for it publicly.

It’s not good that the Giants, who won four games in Dart’s rookie season, are making these headlines in May when they haven’t proven in years that they can make good headlines in September.

It will be interesting to see how Harbaugh, the $20 million a year head coach, handles this. The Giants’ coach has rejected comparisons of his voice to former President Joe Biden while saying it “feels really great” to have Trump’s public support prior to his Giants hiring.

Now he must keep this team focus on football — on winning football — instead of this drama created by his quarterback.
