Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo has seen enough of the 2026 NBA Playoffs to pick a champion.
Never mind that we don’t yet know if the defending champion Oklahoma City Thunder or the upstart San Antonio Spurs will represent the Western Conference.

Antetokounmpo said he thinks the Eastern Conference champion New York Knicks are on a roll that cannot be stopped.
“It looks like the Knicks will win the whole thing,” Antetokounmpo said during a live stream with Swedish model and influencer Marlon, per NBA Central on X. “Basketball is like a momentum. They have won like 11 in a row. And the city just rallies behind them.”
The Thunder and Spurs will square off in Game 7 of the Western Conference Finals at 8 p.m. ET Saturday (NBC, Peacock) in Oklahoma City. The winner gets the Knicks in the NBA Finals, which are set to begin Wednesday.
Antetokounmpo may be trying to curry favor with the Knicks, who have advanced to the NBA Finals for the first time since 1999. Along the way, New York has won 11 consecutive postseason games, including sweeps of the Philadelphia 76ers and Cleveland Cavaliers.
New York is listed as a possible destination for the two-time NBA MVP, who is seeking a trade. In fact, Antetokounmpo expressed interest in joining the Knicks last May, per ESPN.
The 6-foot-11 Greek power forward has two years remaining on his deal with Milwaukee, though he can opt out next summer. Bucks co-owner Jimmy Haslam told ESPN the franchise hopes to either sign Antetokounmpo to a contract extension or trade him this offseason.
Meanwhile, Antetokounmpo picked two other Eastern Conference teams later in the live stream when he was asked to name the NBA’s loudest fans.
“I feel like the best arena was Boston, Philly. Philly, yeah they go crazy,” Antetokounmpo said. “Everybody goes crazy in the playoffs. But, regular games, Boston is passionate.”
